
Introduction
During the first phase of the Particip.AGE project, the project partners carried out research focused on identifying:- the barriers and facilitators to social inclusion for ageing people with intellectual disabilities;
- Good Practices in policy and regulations related to the support of ageing people with intellectual disabilities;
- Case studies on service provision supporting ageing people with intellectual disabilities;
- A stakeholder needs analysis on supporting community participation and social inclusion of ageing people with intellectual disabilities.
Collection of Case Studies on the support for social inclusion of Ageing People with Intellectual Disabilities
This report summarizes 15 case studies on policies and regulations supporting social inclusion for ageing people with intellectual disabilities, focusing on individuals over 50 without discrimination. The studies, contributed by partners from seven European countries, highlight inclusive policies, accessibility and effective training. Based on interviews and observations, each case shares a personal story while maintaining strict confidentiality, offering insights into the services and conditions of ageing people with intellectual disabilities across Europe.
Ageing People with Intellectual Disabilities: A pathway to their social inclusion
This final report presents key findings from research on supporting the social inclusion of ageing people with intellectual disabilities, focusing on policy and regulations, good practices and stakeholder needs. It highlights barriers and facilitators to community participation and provides policy recommendations for national and European policymakers, legislators and service providers.
Collection of Good Practices on the support for social inclusion of Ageing People with Disabilities
This report highlights 11 good practices focused on supporting the social inclusion of ageing people with intellectual disabilities, particularly those over 50, without discrimination. Contributed by partners from six European countries, these practices address inclusive policies, accessibility and effective training. The project examines diverse environments and resources to assess the impact and transferability of these practices, aiming to enhance social services for ageing people with intellectual disabilities across Europe.


Stakeholder Analysis Report
This report summarizes a stakeholder analysis on the barriers and facilitators of social inclusion and community participation for ageing people with intellectual disabilities, based on insights from both people with intellectual disabilities and their support staff. Conducted across five European countries with six partner organizations, the analysis highlights lived experiences to assess key challenges and opportunities. The results offer a comparative view across countries, enhancing understanding of social inclusion for this population.
